1. internship: production

The intern will work in the role of a producer at the Czech Centre Brussels. In collaboration with and under the guidance of the permanent team of the Czech Centre Brussels, they will participate in the preparation, organization, and implementation of the centre's cultural events. This position is intended for students and recent graduates or early-career professionals who are interested in gaining practical experience in production and event organization in an international cultural environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Planning and preparation of events - You will collaborate on creating concepts, programs, and scripts for events. You will ensure logistics and communication with suppliers, partners, and artists.

  • Coordination and execution - On-site, you will oversee the event's progress, coordinate teams and external collaborators, ensure the smooth running of events, and address any operational issues.

  • Administration - You will manage the administrative agenda related to production, prepare materials for budgets and reports, and manage contracts and other necessary documents.

  • Post-production - You will ensure follow-up administration after the event, evaluate its progress and impact, and prepare materials for further improvement of production processes.

  • Education and development - As a team member, you can participate in activities that will develop you in the area of production and event organization, and gain valuable experience from a dynamic cultural environment.

2. internship: assistant to the director of the Czech Centre Brussels

The Czech Centre Brussels offers an internship for the position of assistant to the director of the Czech Centre Brussels. The minimum duration of the internship is 4 months, working hours are 40 hours per week, and the place of the internship is Brussels. The earliest start date is January 1, 2025 .

Internship description

The intern in the position of assistant to the director will provide comprehensive administrative support to the director of the Czech Centre Brussels. This position is intended for recent graduates or early-career professionals interested in management, administration, and leadership in the cultural sector. The intern will gain practical experience in various aspects of the cultural centre's activities and will collaborate with the director on daily agendas and special projects.

Key responsibilities

Administrative support

  • Assist the director of the Czech Centre Brussels with daily administrative tasks, including managing the calendar, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence.

  • Prepare and organize meeting agendas, minutes, and documents.

  • Coordinate travel and logistics for the director.

Project coordination

  • Support the planning and execution of cultural events in the Czech Centre Brussels program.

  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of special projects and initiatives led by the director of the Czech Centre Brussels.

Communication

  • Act as a liaison between the director and internal/external stakeholders.

  • Prepare and edit reports, presentations, and other communication materials.

  • Maintain effective communication channels within the organization.

Research and analysis

  • Conduct research on relevant cultural, artistic, and administrative topics.

  • Gather data and prepare analytical reports to support decision-making processes.

We are looking for someone who has

  • A bachelor's degree in Arts Management, Arts Administration, Cultural Management, Business Administration, Curatorial Studies, Diplomacy, International Relations, or a related field.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (CZ, ENG, FR or NL is an advantage).

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Trello, and Canva.

  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Proven interest in the field of arts and culture.

  • Previous experience in administration or project coordination is an advantage.

Internship description

The intern will function as a coordinator of communication activities at the Czech Centre Brussels. In collaboration with and under the guidance of the permanent team of the Czech Centre Brussels, they will focus on strategy, planning, and the practical publication of text and visual materials. This position is intended for students and recent graduates or early-career professionals interested in an active and comprehensive role in the communication team of the cultural centre.

Key responsibilities

Strategy

  • You will develop the communication strategy of the Czech Centre Brussels on social media, newsletters, and the website, looking for new trends and implementing them in practice in agreement with the team.

Presentation coordination

  • In collaboration with the entire team and external partners, you will request and receive materials (text, photo, video, graphics) and oversee a consistent and engaging presentation of the Czech Centre Brussels online.

Communication - execution

  • From the materials, you will compile a media plan and publish individual posts on the Czech Centre Brussels' social media, create newsletters, and work with the team to keep the website up to date.

Analysis

  • Periodically, you will reflect on outputs and derive specific proposals from Google Analytics, Meta Insights, etc.

Education and development

  • As a team member, you can participate in activities that will develop you and uniquely test how to communicate effectively in an extremely competitive environment.

We are looking for someone who has

  • Good organizational skills and time management abilities.

  • Experience in managing social media such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter.
