Czech Centre Stockholm

The Czech Centre Stockholm is continuously looking for interns who would become a strong support for our team for a minimum of four months with a working time of 40 hours per week (a longer internship is welcome).

Internship focus

The internship at the Czech Centre Stockholm combines and intertwines the focuses listed below on production activities, online marketing, and graphics. During the internship, interns will navigate the intersection of all three areas, with the option to choose a direction they would like to focus on in advance.

1st internship: online marketing, translations, PR, text work

Job description

  • management of the Czech Centre's website and social media

  • promotion of Czech Centre events

  • assistance in organizing cultural events and collaboration on the preparation of the Czech Centre's program

  • preparation of texts in English and Czech (website, FB, newsletter, etc.), the candidate must have a very good command of both Czech and English (in spoken and written form). Swedish is not required but is an advantage

  • research

  • assistance to team members with daily administration (database updates, text formulation, etc.)

We are looking for someone who has

  • an interest in art and culture

  • previous experience with translations and organizing cultural events is welcome

  • a very good command of the English language (min. B2/C1)

  • attention to detail, meticulousness in writing texts, organizational skills, reliability, initiative, and the ability to work in a team

  • experience with website management and social media Facebook, Instagram

2nd internship: graphics and photo documentation

Job description

  • photographic documentation of events

  • processing photographs and creating videos

  • assistance with graphics - preparing templates for online marketing, creating visuals

  • collaboration on the preparation of the Czech Centre's program and overall promotion of events

  • research

  • assistance in organizing cultural events

We are looking for someone who has

  • an interest in art and culture, previous experience with organizing cultural events is welcome

  • a very good command of the English language (min. B2/C1)

  • creativity, reliability, initiative, and the ability to work in a team

  • experience with photo documentation of events and graphic programs (Adobe Photoshop, Canva, InDesign, Illustrator, or others)

  • experience with video creation is an advantage

3rd internship: production, program coordination

Job description

  • creative collaboration on program preparation

  • production activities (assistance with organizing events and on-site event support)

  • collaboration on the overall promotion of events

  • research

  • preparation of texts in English and Czech (website, FB, newsletter, etc.), the candidate must have a very good command of both Czech and English (in spoken and written form). Swedish is not required but is an advantage

We are looking for someone who has

  • an interest in culture and art and a very good overview in one of the following areas: visual arts, architecture, design, fashion, music, literature, film, theater, dance, social sciences, economics, science, and innovation

  • a very good command of the English language (min. B2/C1)

  • creativity, reliability, organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to work in a team

  • previous experience with organizing or preparing cultural events is welcome

The internship at the Czech Centre Stockholm is a rare opportunity to penetrate the Scandinavian cultural scene and gain new practical experience in cultural management. We offer an unpaid internship, which will take place in our office in the center of Stockholm. We mainly recommend the internship to students eligible for a grant (e.g., Erasmus+).
