Attentat 1942, produced by Charles Games s.r.o., is one of the finalists for the Apple Design Awards in the category "Social Impact".
Studio Charles Games focuses on the production of narrative games and comes up with innovative ways to tackle serious topics. It was founded as a spin-off of the Charles University in Prague and represents a unique combination of academia and the game business. It is behind, among other things, the award-winning Attentat 1942 - a World War II game through the eyes of survivors. The studio's CEO and one of the programmers of Attentat 1942 is Jakub Gemrot, who was a guest on the Czech Centres and Radio Prague International Czech Next Wave podcast this spring. You could also hear about Charles Games in our Global Science Café last November dedicated in an episode dedicated to computer games entitled Charles Games: Challenges of Developing Serious Video Games.
Congratulations to Charles Games on the nomination for Attentat 1942! We are excited about the announcement of the results.
