A Czech-American woman who emigrated with her family to the USA after the Communist Coup d'état in 1948. She was the first woman to become Secretary of State of the United States of America in 1997-2001. Thanks in part to her diplomatic activities, the Czech Republic became a part of NATO in 1999.
