Czech Centres have prepared a wide range of activities on the occasion of the Czech Presidency of the European Union (CZ PRES).

The network of Czech cultural institutes in the EU and non-European destinations will present 10 network projects under the motto Visions for Europe which form the main line of the upcoming cultural season. The programme has been created with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic  and it will be realized in cooperation with representative offices. These 10 projects have been created during the past six months by the Czech Centres collaborating with partners from both the Czech Republic and from abroad.

The motto of the programme “Visions for Europe” is the one thing connecting all of the projects, all of which comment on the topic of the future of Europe. There are three main lines on which the projects are built: sustainability, innovation and creativity. People who will take part in the projects as well as selected intellectuals – all of them will come together in the project Visions of Europe  where they will share their personal vision of Europe and what they do to make it come true in the form of one-minute-long videos. A number of stand-alone projects organized directly by The Czech Centre in London has also been made in addition to Visions of Europe.
