New Voices of Czech Poetry in the International Space

Text – space – sound – image – movement – technology

The project is an open platform for young Czech poetry, transcending the boundaries of genres and languages, connecting poets of the new generation with the international scene, and exploring ways in which poetry can exist beyond the pages of a book – in space, in sound, in images, and in movement.

Poetry is not seen as a closed text, but as a living organism that responds to the changes in the (contemporary) world, based on authentic expressions from young authors, their sensitivity, and courage to experiment. The topics explored by young poetry are vibrant and shifting: digital reality, identity and physicality, migration and multilingualism, the relationship to nature, spirituality, and the connection between science and art.

The aim of the project is to present the distinct voices of contemporary Czech poetry, support their international cooperation and networking, and open a debate on the role and form of poetry in today’s world. The project will make its premiere at the 2026 Frankfurt Book Fair, but its true goal is to establish long-term networks of relationships, sharing, and inspiration, and, last but not least, participation in international professional opportunities.
