Highlights from the National Gallery

The videos will be made available every Thursday until mid-July regularly here as well as Facebook page of the Czech Centres.

Beginning mid-May, individual sequels will be first released on social networks in Czechia, Japan, and the Republic of Korea. During the summer and autumn, other countries in which the Czech Centres are based will take over – specifically Athens, Brussels, Kiev, Moscow, New York, Paris, Rotterdam, Tbilisi, Tel Aviv – Jerusalem, Tokyo, and Vienna.

Project Highlights from the National Gallery Prague introduced these artworks:

  • 5) Petr Brandl, Simeon with the Infant Jesus
  • 4) Karel Škréta, Portrait of the Gem-Cutter Dionysius Miseroni and His Family
  • 3) Artists of Emperor Rudolph II’s era – Roelandt Savery, Paradise
  • 2) Albrecht Dürer, Feast of the Rose Garlands
  • 1) Emperor Charles IV and The Votive Panel of Jan Očko of Vlašim

VERONIKA WOLF

Veronika Wolf graduated in the History of Art from Palacky University Olomouc. She also studied Italian art at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice and art law at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London.

She has previously worked at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, lived for several years in London and, prior to joining the National Gallery Prague as Director of External Affairs, was Director of The Lobkowicz Collections in Prague. Veronika has given lectures at universities in London and Paris, and at museums in Berlin, Moscow, and Singapore.
