After more than 13 years, the dynamic times and need for up-to-date communication on new platforms required a reflection of the visual style and the rebranding of the Czech Centres’ network, which was undertaken by the Studio Najbrt.
“A new strong communication element is the meander symbol with the letter C in the centre. The shape is inspired by the original spiral symbol. The line coming out of the spiral was replaced by a free space between the two lines in the institution name and the respective city.
The clear idea of the rebranding was to simplify and minimize the elements used as their number had been increasing over the years. Cleaning up the layers and returning to the core needs through a strong symbol and colours ensures a clear identification, legibility and confidence for the Czech Centres and their 26 branches promoting the Czech Republic and its culture worldwide.
Shifting the red and blue colour codes was one of the key steps. The colour code now coincides with the colours of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic as a reminder that the Czech national colours, red and blue, should have a uniform codification,” said Andrea Vacovská and Aleš Najbrt of the Czech Centres’ rebranding.
The new visual style will be gradually introduced throughout the network including the website, social media as well as printed materials. The rebranding is set to be finished by the 1st July to coincide with the beginning of the Czech EU Presidency.
