The Literature Night is without any doubts a project with the longest tradition which is organized by the Czech Centres Headquarters in cooperation with EUNIC network of clusters. This literary happening has been run annually since 2006. In 2013 the event first expanded into other Czech cities beyond Prague. The project is currently organized in more than 50 cities in the Czech Republic and more than 30 cities abroad where it is realized in close cooperation with embassies and cultural institutes associated in local EUNIC clusters. The goal of the project is to offer a wider public a chance to get acquainted with the work of contemporary European writers through public readings on unusual locations. In 2019 the
Czech Centres Headquarters in partnership with Korzo Narodni together with
cultural institutes from Poland, Hungary, Germany and Austria organised a
project called “The Year of Miracles:
Central Europe in 1989”. This photography exhibition covered the events of
1989 in Central Europe on the occasion of the 30 th anniversary of
the fall of communism. The open-air exhibition ran in November 2019 on
Jungmannovo náměstí in Prague.
In May 2019 Czech Centres Headquarters together with the EUNIC Office in Brussels organized in Prague the EUNIC knowledge sharing workshop on the topic of monitoring and evaluation with a focus on cultural relations. The two-day workshop was attended by 17 members of the EUNIC network from Germany, Sweden, Poland, Austria, Hungary, Spain, Great Britain and Italy and by the colleagues form EUNIC Office as well.
