Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival is back for 2024, ready to light up Edinburgh with the sounds of jazz and blues. For 10 groove-packed days, EJBF presents a super-charged line-up that will delight festival regulars and first timers alike. From Friday 12 to Sunday 21 July, venues across the capital will play host to the finest jazz and blues talent from all corners of the globe.

This year’s international showcase introduces some exciting new names to the festival. At the heart of the programme is SPARK presenting the best in jazz from Czechia with a programme curated in association with Veronika Friedlová of Mladí ladí jazz festival. Part of the Year of Czech Music, and organised in collaboration with the Czech Centre and Soundczech, the festival will welcome a host of new generation of artists who are at the forefront of modern jazz in Europe.

Audiences can in particular look forward to:

  • Endemit and their joyful vibe of jazz/garage/rock fusion
  • saxophonist Nela Dusová performing alongside Scottish bassist Ali Watson and drummer Stephen Henderson
  • Treetop with their unusual combination of acordeon, trombone and double bass
  • Trio Henya known for bledning classical music with European jazz and Balkan influences
  • electronic jazz trio Undo Redo
  • and Kristina Barta Trio headed by the internationally recognised composer and pianist KRISTINA BARTA, finalistof the 2016 Euroradio Jazz Competition in the Netherlands,
