On Wednesday 9 March, the Czech Technical University are organising a concert in the Bethlehem Chapel in Prague in support of the people in Ukraine. The performers include Radůza, Lenka Dusilová and the Eben Brothers. All proceeds will be donated to the SOS Ukraine – People in Need Fund.

On Wednesday 9 March 2022, a concert organised by the Czech Technical University will take place in the Bethlehem Chapel at 8pm. The event aims to raise funds for people in the affected area.

In addition to Radůza, Dusilová and the Eben Brothers, the Ivan Hlas Trio, Beata Hlavenková, Kateřina Marie Tichá, the hLásky Children's Choir, Sofiana MedjMedj, Wyfe and Kybaba will perform.

The CTU Rector doc. Vojtěch Petráček will give a welcome speech. "The concerts organised by the CTU in the Bethlehem Chapel several times a year have a long tradition. We have, therefore, decided to add this special charity concert to the series. Of course, the university supports Ukrainian students, teachers, academics and their families in many other ways. But we believe that charity cultural events and star performers will attract enough visitors to increase the amount of money raised for the SOS Ukraine Fund. It is also appropriate to thank People in Need and all the other organizations that are helping Ukraine," Rector Petráček said today.

"The beautiful acoustics make the Bethlehem Chapel very special. I would like to thank all the performers for preparing a unique repertoire especially for this event," added Jiřina Šimková, the dramaturge and main producer of the concert.

In between the musical performances, guests who are part of the humanitarian aid or directly connected with the people in the affected area will give short talks. The event will be hosted by Tereza Tobiášová. The spoken word will be simultaneously interpreted into English, and the concert will be broadcast in two language versions.

Spectators are invited directly to the Bethlehem Chapel. However, those who cannot come will have the chance to watch the concert via the student TV9P and the Mall. TV.

Abroad, the broadcast will be available through the Czech Centres.

Throughout the duration of the concert, viewers both on-site and at their screens can donate via a unique QR code generated specifically for the event, as well as to the SOS Ukraine account 93209320/0300.
