Requests for information under the Act on Free Access to Information may be submitted in writing (electronically, by post, in person) to the Secretariat of the Czech Centres:

REMEDIES:
Remedies may be used in accordance with Act No. 106/1999 Coll., On Free Access to Information, as amended, and in accordance with Act No. 500/2004 Coll., Administrative Procedure Code, as amended.

Appeal:

An appeal may be lodged in writing against the decision of the liable entity within 15 days from the date of delivery of the decision. The appeal is delivered to the obligated entity that issued the decision, i.e. the Czech Centres. Within 15 days from the date of delivery of the appeal, the obligated subject shall submit the appeal together with the file material to the superior body, which in this case is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Complaint about the procedure for processing a request for information:

The applicant may, if the legal reasons are met, file a complaint about the procedure for processing the request for information, especially if they have not been issued a decision to about a rejection the request within 15 days from the date of delivery of the request to the Czech Centres, or if they have not been granted access to information at all or partially, without being issued a decision about a rejection of the request. The complaint can be submitted in writing to the Czech Centres within 30 days from the date of delivery of the notice of processing of the request, or from the date of expiry of the deadline for the provision of information.

The superior body shall decide on the complaint within 15 days from the day it was submitted to it.

Other requests, proposals and additional requests are processed in accordance with Act No. 500/2004 Coll., The Administrative Procedure Code and in accordance with the internal regulations of the Czech Centres.

An appeal against a decision to refuse access to information is not formalized and the applicant may proceed in the same way as in the case of an application.
