Curatorial and Press Trips
We bring experts from abroad to Czechia for the purpose of active networking and direct contact with the Czech
art scene. We cooperate with festivals, shows and institutions in Czechia to invite international guests. In cooperation with experts, we organize individual curatorial
trips and prepare tailor-made programmes for the Czech scene in given fields. These activities support Czech participation in prestigious international
shows and institutions with which the Czech Centres cooperate.
Main goals
- organisation of research and residencies for foreign curators in Czechia
- mediation of contacts and information; interconnection of different points of view
- support for international mobility and exchanges of views in the field of contemporary art
- connecting local art scenes and spreading awareness of the Czech artistic environment and its representatives abroad
By supporting curatorial trips, we strive for the integration of Czech contemporary art into world events. Thanks to the subsequent media responses in foreign media, there is a growing awareness of the current face of our country and culture.
We invite journalists from all over the world to important domestic shows of cultural and creative industries to provide them with an opportunity to get acquainted with the Czech cultural scene directly in the Czech Republic.
We cooperate in the organization of trips with domestic and
foreign institutions, galleries, festivals, shows and individual artists,
critics and theorists.
