The story of the establishment of an independent Czech Republic is also the story of the final dissolution of Czechoslovakia, i.e. the Czech and Slovak Federative Republic. It is further proof that such split can be achieved peacefully.
This year, the Czech Centres also mark 30 years of their modern history. Over the last three decades, our network has grown to include 26 branches on 4 continents. Not only do we bring Czech culture, science and innovation to all corners of the world, but the number of people interested in learning the Czech language has also grown thanks to us.
