Internship at the Czech Centre Paris

We offer internships for students interested in Czech culture, librarianship, graphics and visual communication, event organization, PR and social media. The minimum length of the internship is 3 months, working hours 15+ hours per week. This is an unpaid internship for students eligible for a grant (e.g. Erasmus+).


Internship 1: Librarianship

In our library, focused on Czech literature, translations into French, and books about art, you will help improve the records of books and readers.

Internship 2: Grafics and visual communication

Help us create the visual appearance of the events of the Czech Center Paris for digital and offline communication.

  • photo documentation, photo editing, video editing
  • materials for PR


Internship 3: Production and event organization

Step by step, you will participate in the organization of cultural events of all genres in the heart of Paris.


Job description

  • assistance with installation of exhibitions, openings, discussion or film evenings, concerts and artist residencies
  • updating internal program planning
  • communication with the public, handling phone calls, emails, correspondence, managing the reservation system
  • creation of newsletter, website administration
  • community management and administration of social networks
  • role of custodian during exhibitions
  • checking invitations at the entrance to events, providing information to visitors
  • communication with artists and institutions
  • translations


Internship 4: PR and social media

Help us spread Czech culture and awareness of the activities of the Czech Center in the digital environment.

Requirements

  • studying at a university in the Czech Republic or anywhere in Europe (your school participates in the Erasmus+ program or you are eligible for a grant as a recent graduate)
  • interest in working in an international environment
  • studying one of the following disciplines: international relations, political science, literature, philology, romance studies, Bohemian studies, arts management, theater or film studies, library and archival studies, marketing and business, education, media studies, design or another relevant field
  • very good knowledge of the French language (at least at level B2)
  • fluency in Czech is a great asset, but not essential
  • interest in experiencing the operation of a public diplomacy institution that organizes cultural events, operates a library and residential spaces and, with its activities, shapes the perception of the image of the Czech Republic in France
  • the opportunity to devote 15+ hours of time per week to an internship for at least 3 months
