Internship at the Czech Centre London

The Czech Centre London is looking for interns to become part of our team. 


We offer two types of student internship:

  • ONSITE / IN PERSON INTERNSHIP which will be carried out in the Czech Centre’s office in central London and other UK venues with which the Czech Centre might cooperate. This internship is suitable for students who are studying in London at the time of the internship and who are able to come into the Czech Centre’s office at least once a week and attend the Czech Centre’s events. Part of the internship can be carried out online. 
    An in-person internship for students from Czechia is also available, provided it is conducted as academic research approved by the student's university.
  • REMOTE ONLINE INTERNSHIP which will be carried out exclusively online via email and Zoom. This internship is meant mainly for applicants from the Czech Republic .

The applicants for both types of internship should ideally be students studying for a degree in MarketingPublic RelationsGraphic DesignMultimedia StudiesArts Management or Film/Theatre Production.

Please note that internship at the Czech Centre London is currently carried out as volunteering practice and is unpaid.

The duration of the internship is flexible, but a minimum of 3 months and at least 10 hrs a week is expected.

Fluency in Czech is a great asset, but not essential.

What we expect

  • Interest in arts and culture
  • Very good knowledge of the English language (both written and spoken)
  • PC literacy
  • Responsibility, resourcefulness and ability to work as part of a team
  • Experience of taking photographs, audio-visual technology or Graphic Design programmes is an asset

  • Taking part in the organisation of cultural events
  • Assistance with daily administrative tasks
  • Translations from English to Czech if relevant

  • Taking part in the production, PR and marketing agenda of the Czech Centre London
  • In-depth work on a specific project of own choice or a project presented to us by the intern
