Internship at the Czech Centre Cairo

Czech Centre Cairo is offering an unpaid internship for students. Minimal internship length is 2 months, we prefer long-term internships.

Internship dates: start date possible at any time throughout the year.

Knowledge of the Arabic language is an advantage, but not a requirement of the internship.

Apart from internships taking place directly in the Czech Centre office in the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo, we offer a possibility of remote online internship, which would primarily involve graphic work and text editing. If you are applying for a remote internship, please indicate this clearly in your application.

INFORMATION FOR INTERNSHIP 1 – focus: translations, PR, work with text

Internship description

• Translations from Arabic/English to Czech, or vice versa
• Cooperation in website administration and social media management for the Czech Centre
• Cooperation in program preparation, promotion, information service and research
• Assistance with cultural events, coordination of language courses

INFORMATION FOR INTERNSHIP 2 – focus: graphics and documentation 

Internship description

• Graphic work (editing promotional materials, preparing print data for flyers, posters, etc., preparing graphic for social media)
• Photographic and video documentation of events and subsequent post-production
• Cooperation in program preparation, promotion, information service and research
• Assistance with cultural events
  

INFORMATION FOR INTERNSHIP 3 – focus: production, program coordination

Internship description

• Creative cooperation in program preparation
• Promotion, information service and research
• Administrative work
• Assistance with events, watching over exhibitions, coordination of language courses and guest service
  

What we expect

• Excellent knowledge of the Czech and English language
• Interest in culture and international relations
• Work on social media
• Knowledge of the Arabic language is an advantage, but not a requirement
• Creativity, reliability, own initiative and ability to work in a team
• Previous experience with organizing or preparing cultural events is welcome
• Experience in the media field is an advantage
