Internships in the Czech Centres abroad and the headquarters

The Czech Centres offer university students professional internships both at the headquarters and abroad. In 2018, 168 students completed an internship in the Czech Centres and gained direct experience with the development and management of cultural and educational projects and the opportunity to verify in practice the theoretical knowledge acquired at universities.

Abroad, the Czech Centres welcomed mainly students from colleges and universities involved in Erasmus - an internship, which allows for obtaining a grant from which students pay the most necessary costs for accommodation and food.

Who

Internships at the headquarters or at the Czech Centres abroad can be attended by students of Czech or foreign universities, or even individual applicants if this internship is in the interest of the Czech Centres.

How

INTERNSHIPS AT THE HEADQUARTERS

The applicant should send their CV and a cover letter to the following e-mail address: staze@czechcentres.cz.

INTERNSHIPS ABROAD:

The applicant should send their CV and a cover letter directly to the e-mail address listed in the specific offer of the Czech Centre abroad.

Conditions

The internship does not establish an employment relationship and does not give rise to a right to a salary or social and health insurance. The costs associated with the internship (transport, housing, meals, etc.) are covered by the sending institution or by the trainee themselves. The duration of unpaid internships is at least 3 months in the range of 20 hours per week at the headquarters of the Czech Centres and in the length of 3 - 12 months in the range of 40 hours per week for internships abroad. The length of the internship can be adjusted individually with regard to the purpose of the internship.

If you are interested in an internship, we recommend that you consult the Czech Centre abroad or the specific section at the headquarters of the Czech Centres before submitting your application. If you are interested in an internship at the Czech Centre abroad, contact the department at your university that provides internships abroad through the Erasmus programme, where a student can apply for a financial contribution for the duration of the internship abroad. Alternatively, find out if your university provides financial support for internships abroad in other ways.

There is no legal right to an internship.
